I purchased these, just in case. After reading many reviews of this style of carrier, I though this was cheap insurance. I will be using regular tie downs for the rear of the scooter, but wanted to make sure the rear wheel did not leave the tire track on the carrier. Super easy to install, and gives me an added sense of security. These work better than trying to modify one of my old tie downs to work in the limited space.

These wheel tie-downs work great. They can be tightened one-handed and hold the tire securely.

Easy to install but will rub the finish off your rims as the bike shifts around while travelling. Happened on two different bikes, one with silver rims, the other with black rims. Now using painters tape on the rim first.
