Sport Motorcycle Carrier - Overview

Our trusted sport bike, scrambler and dual sport motorcycle carrier - designed & assembled in Texas. Weighing only 60 lbs. and hauling motorcycles up to 600 lbs., it offers outstanding structural efficiency with adjustable parts; a stabilizing front wheel chock, a webbed tire track for wider sized tires, a broad front tie down arm with a patented design, an elongated loading ramp and a stabilizing single bolt connection to vehicles. Trust our track record and enjoy the ride with the MotoTote Sport.

TECHNOLOGY & FEATURES

MTX Platform

Heavy-duty steel main support connects to the receiver tube, hauls up to 600 lbs. (272 kgs.), supports chock, track, and orientation adjustability alongside the attachment of innovative components.

StableStop Chock Wide

One piece tire mount locks front tires up to 5" (125 mm) wide into chock, maximizes support, and holds the bike upright while securing tie-downs.

WebGrip Track

Woven steel track reduces carrier weight, secures rear tires up to 8.5" (215 mm) and accommodates up to a 65" (165 cm) wheelbase.

BroadPull+ Arm (Front)

Patented front tie-down arm provides main support for motorcycle stabilization. Rear tie down arm prevents rear tire from bouncing out of track.

EasyLoad Ramp

A long webbed steel ramp increases tire's traction and eases the loading angle. Ramp hooks into tire track and will not disengage during loading.

HitchLift Receiver Tube

Innovative 2" receiver tube counteracts common vehicle hitch droop with a slight upward bend, ensuring that the rack is angled correctly from the back of the vehicle. Provides additional ground clearance, attachment of ramp and distance from vehicle adjustability.

ZeroWobble+ Hitch Mount

Upgraded single-bolt hitch mount installs quickly, requires fewer tools and eliminates rack movement in transport.

MotoTote Sport Motorcycle Carrier Customer
John - MotoTote Customer

"I had a cheap carrier but I did not trust it with my sport bike, then bought a great box trailer, but then got tired of hauling trailer to track days, with extra gas, bridge tolls for trailers, and having to drive 55 with a trailer. Now I have 1500 Ram Van with MotoTote for ZX10R. Love it!"

Smart Design

Super impressed in the overall design , aesthetically and structurally. The fit and finish along with the multiple bent tubing and such used separate this from all the others I considered. Its price is a bit steep however when you factor in free shipping these days….it bridges the gap. I also got the lighting kit that was easy to install with the pre-prepped work that was done.

Excellent Carrier

I haul my S1000RR with this. The Zero Wobble system works very well! The carrier barely moves while loading the bike. Bike stands on its own while in the chock. You need to have a decent set of tools and be comfortable torquing bolts. Also, make sure the carrier is as far in the hitch as possible. The optional lighting system works very well, too.

MotoTote Review 👍🏻

Just returned from a six-week 4,000 mile long trip hauling my Yamaha TW200. Loaded and unloaded the bike probably a dozen times. The MotoTote hauls rock-solid and easily on my Honda Ridgeline.
Highly recommend!

SOLID

I got the sport model so I can haul any of my bikes. Thing costs a lot than competitors but is the most solid carrier I’ve ever used. Well worth it

It works as described. Set up can be a pain

This works as described. I loaded up my 2023 Ducati Streetfighter V2 onto the back of my 2024 Toyota Tacoma TRD Off-Road for a 2.5 hour drive each way to the track on some smooth, and not so smooth highway driving and I made it without any issues. The first drive is scary, but this is a solid rack. Loading and unloading for the first time is scary too because you're not expecting it to twist as you load it up, but it works. I recommend using the engine to help load it up and to have to someone with you for loading and unloading just so you can make sure the rear tire is lined up properly, and to help with unloading.
I'm only removing a star because this is supposed to be an easy setup, but the washers supplied for attaching the MTX platform to the hitch DO NOT slide on like the instructions or video instructions show. So what should have been a half hour install took a few hours as I had to thread and beat the washers into the place, and apply a lot of force to tighten down the nuts. There were also some scratches to the wheel chock, but that's not worth putting a complaint to customer service for. That's all done so now I have a solid rack that I trust over normal roads.

More Than Excellent Engineering

It works well - felt a bit nervous at first, but so far, it’s surprisingly handling the 220kg Triumph Scrambler with ease. I’ll be testing it with other cars or bikes soon.

Beyond functionality, it’s also a piece of art - beautiful and pleasing to see alongside your loved bike.

Sport Tote - Serious Flaw

The good: Bike is super solid on the rack. The integrated wheel chalk limits movement of the bike and when strapped in to the four welded hook points it’s rock solid.

The terrible: the “zero wobble” pin is a complete and utter failure. It was probably tested in a factory and not with any real world application. If you’re off-roading, it’s guaranteed to come loose no matter how much you torque it one. I find it questionable they chose this design over the tired and true wedge lock system. Not only does the rack still wobble in the receiver, but I find it to be a serious safety hazard they chose this method as the pin can potentially unthread on its own. I will be replacing the stock bolt with a traditional lockable hitch pin. I bought a cheap anti-wobble system from Harbor freight and it worked 10x better.

My advice: I’d pay more for the tote if you upgraded to a wedge lock system. Similar to a Kuat bike rack or my Wilco Offroad hitchgate max

We appreciate all feedback!
The ZeroWobble has been in use for over 20 years including the upgraded version that we came out with a few years ago. We developed it as a better solution after trying ALL of the altenatives. There is nothing wrong with using an alternative, of course.
