Works as described but in my state, and presume others you would fail the annual road safety inspection unless you have the plate illuminated, I ended up moving my light and using sheet metal screws to hold it in place… not ideal. I would be nice if you included the number plate lamp as an option in your lighting kit

Purchased license plate holder. i used trailer locking pin so no one would steal plate holder. It clear and visable, does the job. Not sure on the $50.00 price though.
I will say I'm leaving 5 stars for this company because their customer service is excellent and the moto tote purchase is of high quality and best I've used. Put 890 ktm and was rock solid for my 900 mile one way trip. The materials used are top notch and for me having an $12k bike and not to have worry or undo anxiety is a huge relief!

I needed this, but am disappointed in its quality. First, it didn't fit into the receiver until I hammered and filed it. Second, doing so meant the holes didn't line up with the license plate holes. Third, one piece of metal for $50 and you don't even include the bolt to hold it in place to the carrier I just bought from you? Next time I might simply try bending a strip of 1/8" thick x 1-1/2" wide aluminum to fit the receiver and drill some holes - because I had to anyway.
